Font Friday: Mocha Mattari

I just got this typeface from Flat-It called Mocha Mattari... I'm loving it! It's based on Bebas Neue, which I use a lot and absolutely adore! It's just a little more distressed and there are some alternates as well. Mocha Mattari can be purchased here.

Here is what says about it:
Mocha Mattari is distressed font designed based on Bebas Neue released as a free font in 2010. The Original Bebas Neue has an inordinate level of popularity and it is often used as a web font in recent years. This Mocha Mattari was made by damaging the original and tweaked by hand work. Basically, Mocha Mattari does not have lowercases but alternative uppercases. Exceptionally “g, m, oz, fl, lb” for “gram, milli, ounce, fluid, pound” can be available by opentype dlig or salt features.

Font Friday: Lavanderia

You may remember that I previously featured Duke by James T. Edmondson a while back... well he's back with more awesomeness! Lavanderia is based on lettering found on laundromat windows in San Francisco's Mission District, it features numerous opentype features and three weights. And hello! it comes complete with punctuation, numerals, upper and lowercase... which is not always the case with certain "free" fonts. Lavanderia is available from the always amazing Lost Type Co-op so that means, you guessed it... FREE!

Font Friday : Liam

Love this super cute font by Laura Worthington. It's called Liam and it's available at It has some great dingbats and alternates. Aside from the obvious baby related goods, I think this would be great for anything "holiday". It has just the right amount of sweetness without going over the top!
